A 72-year-old woman reported to investigators at Scarsdale Police Headquarters on Saturday, April 14 that she had been bitten in the leg by another dog - possibly a pit bull - while she was walking hers in front of Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s Realty on Chase Road earlier that afternoon.

According to the police report released on Monday morning, the woman said the second dog “lunged at her dog and as she attempted to pull the dog away, the dog bit her left leg, holding on to her leg, causing her to shake her leg to get the dog off.” She ultimately suffered a puncture wound to her leg, which left her bleeding.

The complainant reportedly walked away, “afraid of the dog biting her again.” The woman said she didn’t know the second woman or recognize the dog, just that she had white hair and may be in her 60s. The incident is under investigation.
